Torran Bay to Taynuilt
Big day on some serious climbs following Loch Awe. The ‘Roo Dog‘ has his climbing legs back 🚵 A few hrs in had to take in a huge breakfast wrap. That’s dinner sorted too 😋 Scenery never fails to deliver 🏴 Pulled bike & gear onto high ground from the rd
Taynuilt to Ganavan Sands
Midge 🦟 net on before head out of tent even if you can’t see them. They’ll be on you in an instant! Into Taynuilt to find a bench, get another coffee on and dry tent. 15 miles to Oban through a beautiful valley. Oban very touristy 🤣 Young lads dueting on the bagpipes 🎶 …
… Oban is a vibrant ferry port to many Hebridean islands. Lidl’s found and soon out of dodge! Perfect wildcamp spot found looking out over the sound but nestled in a light canopy 🌳🌳 with the evening sun & light breeze 🦟🦟🖕 #fujix100t
Well entrenched on a Sustrans network out of Oban. Impressive engineering on the Connel Bridge 🌉 Then joining an old railway form. Wildcamp found up a rise onto fern covered fields. A little bit of work to make it habitable ⛺ Leave only flattened ferns! #fujiix100t …
… love finding history hidden off the main tourist traps. It was a lunch spot. Man’s been fighting from the ages! 🙄 Battle_of_Culloden
Duror to Aryhoulan
Not much more than a skip’n’a’jump & I’ve got the tent back out drying 🌤️ in a great 2nd breaky spot. Next push is to the Corran Ferry. A regular service & free for🚴♀️No sooner off the ferry & a few kms nailed a great wildcamp by early arvo 😀 #fujix100t #djimini2
