I ๐ดโโ๏ธthe direct main road to Aubusson. An easy 35km to their municipal campground ๐ Closed on the 1st Sept ๐ง I moved on ๐ Which then seemed to be eternally up hill ๐คฃ 1st #wildcamp by a stream ๐ Not the best nights ๐ค as the stream was loud ๐คฃ #France ๐ซ๐ท #bicycle #cycle
… Aubusson, I had stopped at in June 2016. It just happens to be a cross over junction on my routing ๐บ๏ธ The little things on a bicycle trip ๐ดโโ๏ธ thinking a full on hot shower (douche ๐ซ๐ท) 1st in 4 weeks, scuppered! Deflated me a little ๐ Lunch there, then bon voyage ๐ #Aubusson
It’s mighty cold in the mornings 5ยฐ this one ๐ณ But I’m up on the Massif Central. Present elevation 620m (2030ft). I’m very much off-piste regarding Voie Vertes & EuroVelos. Up in logging country. It’s all blissfully quiet commune’s ๐ค #France ๐ซ๐ท #bicycle #cycle
… Following a V736. Takes me away from main rds and the automobile tourist route. All very quiet back roads, but it with that very lumpy โฐ๏ธโฐ๏ธโฐ๏ธ lots & lots of climbing! But then charge phone/camera etc. on the decent with my SON dynamo hub โ๏ธ
… This morning I lost a glove liner. Just enough to keep the fingers from freezing off โบ๏ธ It was very โ๏ธ I was fuming all day about it ๐ค Found in sleeping bag that night ๐ The simple joy these finds bring to me ๐

… Before turning a little south, then bearing westerly for a new route I stopped at Chรขtelus-le-Marcheix for ๐ฐ I then noticed the sign for a municipal campground. As I made the steep 1.5km โฌ๏ธ, all the time thinking, it’ll be closed …BAM nearly empty. Have I found a gem?

Opposite day to my rest day … climbing & more climbing โฌ๏ธ Pro-cyclists say, I’d the legs for it! ๐๐ I thought going through Limoges would be flat near the river, I was wrong ๐คฃ The route was parallel to the river, but that was about it ๐ #bicycle ๐ฒ #cycle #France ๐ซ๐ท
… Photos limited due to wanting to get the hell on the otherside of Limoges while there was still light to find a rural #wildcamp spot before nightfall ๐ Didn’t help a diversion I ignored ๐ then had to find my way out as no way through ๐ without the climb back up another hill ๐คฃ
